Our daughter came to SLArts as a fifth grader after experiencing a number of schools in her early years. We were struck by the autonomy SLArts offered to her and the responsibility it helped her develop. She was able to experiment with a wide variety of arts and continue her strong academic preparation. After a short time away from the school after her graduation, we were pleased to have our son join in fifth grade and see that the values we had noticed in our daughter’s experience had continued under Deborah’s new guidance.

When the possibility of joining the board opened up, it seemed like a great opportunity to give back to a community that has been very important in the formative years for both of our children. I have enjoyed seeing the passion for the kids and the mission of SLArts reflected in the teachers and staff. Working on various board projects and trying to find ways to support the community have been rewarding without being overwhelming, and have given me a new appreciation of the work and dedication that go into making the school as unique as it is.

My day job is as a corporate attorney, working remotely before it was cool. When I am not working, I enjoy time with my family in a variety of pursuits, including tennis, squash, hiking and traveling, as well as board and video games and the occasional photographic outing.

Greg was the Board Chair in 2024-25 and 2025-26. He stayed on to be the Secretary in 2026-27.
