Signature Experiences

Moments they'll carry for life

From their first day in 5th grade to a week in the Tetons in 8th, SLArts students take on experiences designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of who they are.

Experiences that make SLArts unique...

The City as a Classroom

The City as a Classroom

The City as a Classroom

Our downtown campus puts Salt Lake City right outside our door. With student transit passes, kids learn to ride TRAX and city buses with confidence, a skill that builds real independence. Just a short walk or ride away, they learn at The City Library, museums, theaters, and parks, connecting classroom lessons to the world around them.

Special Projects

One Book One Community

We also engage in special projects, such as the 2026-27 school year that began with every student reading a shared book: "The Wild Robot" in grades 5–6 and "Accountable" in grades 7–8. Students explored a big question together: What does it mean to be part of a community?

Where SLArts leads

SLArts students go on to public and private high schools across the valley, and to colleges and careers they love.

"SLArts prepared me by helping with my stage presence and my acting abilities. I had a really great experience learning at SLArts!"

- Ellie Krull, 2022 alum, who went on to attend Boston Conservatory at Berklee
