Governing Board
The Salt Lake Arts Academy Governing Board is made up of parent and community volunteers. The role of the Governing Board is to set policies for the school, evaluate the Principal and CAO, ensure appropriate resources and maintain academic excellence. Governing Board members are elected to three-year terms. Learn more about Joining the Board.
Share your Special Skills
Do you have professional experience to share to benefit the school? Do you have experience in photography, event planning, or do you have a lead on a grant we should apply for? Email or call Whitney Childers, Advancement Director, to talk about your specific talents – we would love to put them to use: whitneyc@slarts.org, 801-531-1173.
Serve a Shift, Donate Items or Be a Substitute
Watch for our call outs to our entire parent community for help doing everything from donating gifts for contests, pies for Pi Day or meals for Teacher Dinners ... or chaperoning during class field trips. We're also always on the lookout for substitute teachers! See our Work With Us page.
Background Check
One thing to keep in mind, if a volunteer spends time with any student(s) without a staff member, they will need to have undergone a background check. We can assist with that! Please contact SLArts Business Manager Nicole Laird at nicole@slarts.org.
