1. The arts, every day
Every student gets at least an hour of arts instruction every day, all year, taught by five full-time arts educators in Dance, Drama, Music, Visual Art, and Digital Arts. The arts are also woven into Math, Science, and Humanities, so students learn by creating.

2. Room to grow, support to thrive
SLArts is built only for grades 5–8, the years when students need both more independence and more support. With about 100 students per grade and a 17:1 student-to-teacher ratio, no one gets lost. Through classroom participation, Advisory and Student-Led Conferences, every student learns to understand, explain, and own their educational growth.

Students from more than 40 zip codes learn together at SLArts, and downtown Salt Lake becomes an extension of the classroom through field trips, transit passes, and community partners.
